A simple and secure Goodworld donation.

Company Description…

Goodworld is the social payments company that makes giving simple, secure and viral with hashtag-powered payments for good. We fuel #donate, a way to give instantly to causes on Facebook and Twitter. With seamless fundraising solutions for both social and web, Goodworld makes it possible for anyone to add a charitable component to their online experience.

I started my business because…

I’ve always wanted to do something that had a huge positive impact in the world, but I had never been very focused on money or entrepreneurship. One day, I woke up and realized those things didn’t need to be mutually exclusive. Goodworld was born from my desire to create a company that could do the most good in the world.

What makes my company unique…

Goodworld serves as a single-sign up digital wallet for all your charitable giving. It’s a comprehensive solution for both donors and nonprofits that goes across multiple social media platforms for a seamless experience. Any celebrity, corporation, event, or brand with a Facebook page or Twitter handle can connect to #donate in minutes and instantly start fundraising for any of our partner causes. Lastly, we’re the only platform that allows users to stay ‘in-stream’ and continue the experience (social media, a nonprofit’s website) that inspired them to give without leaving that channel.

Mantra I live by…

“It is in the giving that we receive,” words of St. Francis of Assisi.

You should vote for me because…

I’ve dedicated my life to creating impassioned communities that empower people to take action and create change. Having extensively researched the theory of Allophilia (like or love of “the other”) and Maori leadership in my native New Zealand, I’ve developed a deep understanding for how generosity can provide common ground to unite diverse groups of people.

Top 3 goals for my business are…

  1. Create a payments pathway that is both a financial juggernaut and the global force for good. Rebuild the current payments system into one where every transaction gives back in some way.
  2. Blow open a new channel of fundraising for nonprofits. Help bring fundraising into the social media age and make it as simple and secure as possible for people to instantly give to the causes they care about.
  3. Increase our user base tenfold and explore other applications for our technology.

Women entrepreneurs are…

Smart, driven, on the rise, and the future of our generation.

Being a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow would allow me to…

Take advantage of an unparalleled network of women who could share their wisdom and experiences in a way that helps me think of new ways to drive Goodworld forward. High profile opportunities to build partnerships with brands, businesses and nonprofits would also help drive business results while doing a great deal of good.
