Company description…

Hija de tu Madre is a Latina lifestyle brand for the girl that takes her culture everywhere. We’re on a mission to create more Latina representation in fashion in a way that doesn’t involve racist stereotypes. Our commitment to empowering our community with our platform, inclusive values and cultural products is what differentiates us from other brands. We are highly engaged with a mainstream audience and customer that has been left out of the fashion conversation.

I started my company because…

I wanted to redefine the popular Latinx narrative. Inspired by my travels, identity and love for Latinx culture, I started Hija de tu Madre in the fall of 2016 with my $500 savings and a mission to make fashion more inclusive of the Latina experience. I am creating the type of representation I would have liked to see as a little Mexican girl.

The impact I want my company to have on the world…

By creating positive and aspirational Latina representation within our brand, we are inspiring women to embrace their culture more than ever. Our impact is greater than selling beloved products, we are leading a movement of unapologetic Latinas.

Top 3 goals for my business are…

  1. Expand our product collections.
  2. Secure retail partnerships.
  3. Grow our team!

Women entrepreneurs are…

Strong.

I #EmbraceAmbition because…

My dreams and goals matter. Embracing ambition and taking a chance on me has been key to my happiness.
