Diva Dawg/Chef Diva Foods

New Orleans food truck, catering, personal chef services, packaged Creole seasonings & sauces.

About the Business

Diva Dawg brings the bold, unforgettable flavors of New Orleans to customers through our food truck, catering, personal chef services, and Chef Diva Foods line of sauces and seasonings. We serve locals, visitors, businesses, private events, and home cooks who want authentic New Orleans flavor made approachable and convenient. Our low-sodium Red Bean, Gumbo, Creole, and Étouffée seasonings were created from recipes developed through years of restaurant, food truck, and catering experience. We exist to make the flavors and food culture of New Orleans accessible beyond the city, helping people create delicious Louisiana-inspired meals at home while delivering memorable culinary experiences wherever we serve.

Ericka Lassair

Ericka Lassair, also known as “Chef Diva,” is a New Orleans native and owner/chef of Diva Dawg Food Truck and Chef Diva Foods. After earning a Marketing degree from Southern University, she spent six years working in finance in Dallas before returning home after Hurricane Katrina. She attended culinary school at Delgado Community College and worked at Commander’s Palace before opening Diva Dawg on Magazine Street in 2012. After closing the restaurant in 2013, Ericka reinvented the business, winning $10,000 in the 2014 Urban League of Louisiana WIB Pitch Challenge and using the opportunity to relaunch Diva Dawg as a food truck.

Her journey has since included a 2015 Capital One Business Plan Pitch win, selection as a 2016 Tory Burch Foundation Fellow, and features in Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Essence, Modern Hero, Kitchen Queens, Flip My Food, and the film Girls Trip.

During the pandemic, Ericka expanded into CPG with Chef Diva Foods. Today, her sauces and low-sodium Red Bean, Gumbo, Creole and Étouffée seasonings make authentic New Orleans flavor easier to enjoy at home.
