Parents are often left choosing between products with harsh ingredients and cleaner alternatives priced out of reach. We build products that are thoughtfully formulated, actually work, and are priced for the weekly shop rather than the specialty aisle.

Irena Todd is co-founder and CEO of Blue Zebra Brands, a portfolio of personal care brands for kids, teens, and pets, including Fresh Monster, FaceTory, and Mighty Mutt. She has grown the company through more than a decade of double-digit growth, earning recognition on the Inc. 5000 and Colorado Titan 100.

Before founding Fresh Monster in 2014, Irena led some of the world’s largest personal care brands at Unilever, including AXE, TRESemmé, and Degree, managing P&Ls and driving innovation and growth. She began in strategy consulting at Deloitte, advising brands across technology, food, and consumer goods.

Irena launched Fresh Monster with a simple mission: get kids clean without toxins, tears, or breaking the bank, while building a head-to-toe destination for kids’ personal care. The brand was selected for the Telluride Venture Accelerator and Burt’s Bees Natural Launchpad and featured in CNBC, Fast Company, and The Wall Street Journal.

Irena holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley. She began her career as an interpreter in post-war Yugoslavia. Based in Denver, she is a symphony junkie, avid reading, and mom to two adventurous boys.
