Brown Dog Walking Co. is located in Charleston, South Carolina, and provides professional, enrichment-focused pet care for busy pet owners who want their animals to thrive, even when they cannot be there. Through dog walking, in-home pet care, overnight care, and our eight-acre outdoor adventure camp, we provide more than basic exercise and potty breaks. Our team creates engaging, personalized experiences that support each pet’s physical and emotional well-being. Brown Dog exists because pet owners should not have to choose between their responsibilities and giving their pets a fulfilling life. We give pets the care, connection, and adventure they deserve while giving their people the freedom to work, travel, and live with confidence and peace of mind.

I became an entrepreneur because I wanted a different life. I was consumed by a corporate job while my dogs spent their days at home, and I carried the guilt of knowing they deserved more. I found my way into pet care looking for work where my dogs could be part of my day, but when requests quickly became more than I could handle alone, I realized I had stumbled into something much bigger.

What started as a way to create a better life for my own dogs became Brown Dog Walking Co., an award-winning pet care company that helps pets thrive while giving their people the freedom to work, travel, and live without guilt or worry. Building a team that delivers that level of care every day is what makes me most proud.

Growing Brown Dog has required me to grow alongside it. Through COVID, economic shifts, becoming a foster parent, and each stage of the business, I have learned to trust myself as a leader and evolve from dog walker to operator, and now to CEO. The Tory Burch Fellowship has expanded that vision. I hope to eventually pass Brown Dog to another woman, then build new companies, invest in women-owned businesses, mentor female entrepreneurs, and create more freedom to be present for the people and experiences that matter most.
