Guava & Co. creates Pacific-inspired resort wear designed in Hawaiʻi for women and families who want beautiful clothing that reflects both their values and sense of place. We pair elevated island design with thoughtful materials, small-batch production, and lower-impact fabrics to reduce waste and our textile footprint. Our work is inspired by the people, landscapes, and cultures of the Pacific, with a growing commitment to collaborating with and elevating Pasifika designers. Guava exists to prove that a fashion company can create beautiful things while doing good—caring for people, honoring community, and making more responsible choices for the planet.

I’m Steffy Simms, an engineer-turned-educator and founder of Guava Jammies and Guava & Co., two Hawaiʻi-born brands rooted in the belief that what we create can care for both people and place. I started Guava Jammies in 2023 after searching for soft, breathable clothing for my son and realizing I could combine my engineering background, love of design, and deep connection to Hawaiʻi to build something of my own.

What began with children’s pajamas has grown into a larger vision. Guava & Co. creates elevated, Pacific-inspired womenswear for island living, while Guava Jammies continues to celebrate the families who started this journey with me. I’ve built both brands while continuing my career as a physics educator, a role I deeply love and have no intention of leaving behind. Entrepreneurship has taught me that success doesn’t have to mean choosing one calling over another. I’m building a business that reflects the life I want to lead: creative, community-centered, sustainable, and rooted in the idea that when women rise, we create opportunities for others to rise with us.
