Ourside is a New York fragrance house creating small-batch fine fragrances that tell stories the industry has long overlooked. Made in the Bronx, its vegan and cruelty-free collection includes Moon Dust, Nostalgia, and Of Our Own in full-size and rollerball formats, plus a Discovery Kit. Ourside serves people who use fragrance to shape how they feel and move through the world. It exists to transform our lives one scent at a time by helping us reconnect with ourselves and one another. Since launching in 2023, Ourside has received fragrance awards from Cosmopolitan, ELLE, and Harper’s BAZAAR, been named to CEW’s Indie25, earned more than 100 press features, including The New York Times and Forbes, and become the first Black woman-founded fragrance brand sold at Bergdorf Goodman.

Keta Burke-Williams founded Ourside, a New York fragrance house, inspired by her mother’s story about night-blooming jasmine in Tunisia. Through that story, Keta discovered how scent can carry a memory across places and generations. She built the world of Ourside to bring the stories of people luxury has long overlooked into fine fragrance.

After graduating from Dartmouth College, Keta spent years in commercial strategy and execution across consumer idustries. In 2020, while earning her MBA at Harvard Business School, she began turning her vision for Ourside into a company. She developed its first collection, raised early funding, and launched the brand publicly in 2023. Since then, she has expanded Ourside from direct-to-consumer sales into luxury and specialty retail and brought the brand to Bergdorf Goodman, making it the first Black woman-founded fragrance brand sold there. Keta now aims to build Ourside into an enduring fragrance house that changes whose stories luxury celebrates.
