Blackbird Collective PBC is a Visionary Membership Society and Storytelling Studio built on four pillars — Productivity, Wellbeing, Creativity, and Advocacy — with a flagship house in Culver City and a global digital community where members engage in authentic conversation with an ethos of civil discourse. Membership includes access to curated workspace and private offices, classes, events and programming, social gatherings, and a connected global network. We build the spaces, programming and platforms where audacious women of color, allies and co-conspirators do their best work and tell stories for positive impact and mutual benefit — because storytelling reminds us that we are light.

Bridgid Coulter Cheadle is founder and CEO of Blackbird Collective PBC, a Tony Award-winning producer, and designer who turns bold ideas into movements.
Founded in 2018, Blackbird is a storytelling studio and private membership collective for women of color and allies, built on four pillars — Productivity, Wellbeing, Creativity, and Advocacy — with a flagship house in Culver City and a global digital community. Blackbird is incorporated as a public benefit corporation, so that mission and fiduciary duty to collective shareholders hold equal weight. In 2020 she founded Blackbird Alliance, its nonprofit sister organization. Blackbird is now building its channel to carry that programming to a wider audience.
She is also principal of her eponymous interior and design-build practice, established more than two decades ago and working nationally in residential, hospitality, and creative office design, with a signature textile line drawn from her own painting.
She holds a BA in Theatre from UCLA and later completed its master's level Arch_ID program with distinction. She produced A Strange Loop, winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical, and most recently received the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Award from the Los Angeles Urban League.
