Time off to vote shouldn’t be a luxury. I hope that my decision to give my employees time off to vote will inspire other CEOs to do the same.

In a recent Wall Street Journal opinion piece, Tory urged CEOs to give their employees time off to vote. Criticizing both sides of the aisle for not doing more to increase voter turnout, she reiterates the importance of every citizen having the opportunity to visit the polls without fear of docked pay or childcare challenges. “As the CEO of a company, I can ensure that our employees have one less impediment to voting—time off to vote. We are giving our employees time off on Election Day, Nov. 8, and we are making voter registration materials and information available. We call on our fellow corporate citizens to do the same.” Read Tory’s full article here.

Other companies such as Spotify, Survey Monkey and the Robin Hood Foundation are giving their employees #TimeOfftoVote.
