Cadena Collective
A curated marketplace of premium artisanal brands from Mexico and Latin American.
FundraisingAbout the Business
Cadena Collective is a curated marketplace that connects individuals with premium artisan brands from Mexico and Latin America. Founded in 2019, we highlight the voices and stories of Mexican and Latin American artisans and the brands they build, offering ethically sourced premium pieces across bridal, jewelry, leather goods, textiles, and accessories.
In a market dominated by mass production and fleeting trends, Cadena partners directly with makers and small brands to ensure ethical production and fair pricing, and tells the history and tradition behind their work.
Cadena sells online and through a showroom in Dallas, and is a certified B Corporation.
Alejandra Aguirre
Alejandra Aguirre is the Founder and CEO of Cadena Collective, a curated marketplace of premium artisan brands from Mexico and Latin America.
She named the company after Calle Cadena, the street where she grew up in Mexico, and built it for individuals who value artisanal work and for those who wanted to see their own heritage reflected in premium design. Alejandra founded Cadena in 2019, and today the marketplace represents more than 20 artisan brands across bridal, jewelry, leather goods, textiles, and accessories.
A certified B Corporation, Cadena is built on paying artisans above standard wholesale terms and structuring partnerships that let designers scale without compromising the traditions their work comes from. Alejandra is a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses alum, a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow, and a Southern Methodist University graduate who began her career in government affairs and political consulting.
