Integrity Matters

We are a non-partisan, non-profit project that equips small business owners to defend the rules of free enterprise.

About the Business

Integrity Matters is a nonprofit organization that equips small business owners to protect the rules that make free enterprise and thriving communities possible.

Small business owners are uniquely positioned to strengthen democracy: we are trusted local leaders whose voices can reach employees, customers, neighbors, policymakers, and the media.

We provide civic education, tools, communications training, storytelling opportunities, and connections to experts and peers to understand how the rule of law affects their businesses—and take action to defend it.

Through a national network, we help business owners engage communities, advocate for stable and fair institutions, support election protection, counter misinformation, and build a stronger culture of civic participation.

Audrey Roofeh

Audrey Roofeh is the founder and executive director of Integrity Matters, where she mobilizes small business owners as leaders in protecting the rule of law, and the conditions that allow businesses to thrive. Through Integrity Matters, Audrey brings together business owners across political and ideological differences to take practical, nonpartisan action and strengthen the role of small businesses in civic life.

Audrey has spent more than two decades working at the intersection of law, organizational culture, and social impact. Before founding Integrity Matters, she founded Mariana Strategies, a consulting firm that advised businesses, government agencies, and mission-driven organizations on workplace culture, organizational change, and inclusive leadership. Her work has consistently focused on helping leaders navigate complex challenges and build stronger, more resilient institutions.

As an entrepreneur herself, Audrey brings a deep understanding of the opportunities and pressures facing small business owners. She founded Integrity Matters out of a belief that business owners have both a stake in and a powerful role to play in building healthy, resilient communities and a strong democracy.
