Founded in 2015 by Jenny Rushmore, who learned to sew because she couldn't find clothes that fit, Cashmerette serves curvy sewists who've been overlooked by both ready-to-wear fashion and traditional sewing patterns. Through patterns designed for sizes 0 to 32 with C to H cup options, the Cashmerette Club membership, and fit education programs like Sloper School and Fitting University, the company gives women the skills and tools to create wardrobes they love. Its mission is simple: don't change your body to fit your clothes, change your clothes to fit your body.

When I couldn't find clothes that fit my curvy body and H-cup bust, I turned to sewing - but then had the same issue with sewing patterns excluding me too. How are you meant to feel confident when you're never included, and nothing fits - let alone reflects your personality?

So I learned to adjust sewing patterns to fit and had a life-changing revelation - that I could change my clothes to fit my body, rather than trying to change my body to fit clothes.

Over 70% of women are plus size and over 80% are different sizes at the bust, waist and hip, so I knew I wasn't alone.

That led me to launch Cashmerette: a size-inclusive sewing pattern company that teaches women to sew custom clothes that fit and make them feel confident. We have sewing patterns in sizes 0-32 and cup sizes C-H, a membership program, online classes, a best-selling book published by Penguin Random House and more, to empower all women of all sizes to finally have the clothes they deserve.
