About the Business

PerfectDD (pronounced “perfected”) is a fuller-bust inclusive womenswear brand founded in 2020 by fashion industry executive Alice Kim. Every style is designed with more room at the bust, not everywhere else, solving common fit issues like pulling, gaping and sizing up. PerfectDD holds three U.S. patents, including hidden-button technology that keeps shirts securely closed. The collection includes button-downs, T-shirts, sweatshirts, bodysuits and dresses, ethically and sustainably made in NYC and LA. PerfectDD has been featured in The New York Times Wirecutter and Oprah Daily, worn by Kristen Bell in Netflix’s 'Nobody Wants This,' and sold out at Nordstrom. The brand sells direct-to-consumer and is expanding through collaborations and licensing its patented fit technology.

Alice Kim

Alice Kim began her career in investment banking before spending more than 20 years in fashion, with roles at Victoria’s Secret, Diane von Furstenberg, Prada, and Shopbop (Amazon), yet she still couldn’t find clothes that fit her own body. As a 32DD with a smaller frame, button-downs popped open across her chest, while sizing up left her looking like she was wearing a tent. Learning that the average U.S. bra size is 34DD, Alice was determined to create a solution for millions of women struggling with the same fit issue.

She founded PerfectDD (pronounced “perfected”) in 2020 and today holds three U.S. patents for her fit innovations, including hidden-button technology that prevents gaping. Alice has become a leading voice for inclusive fashion, advising brands and speaking on panels about designing for women historically overlooked by the industry. A 2022 Tory Burch Foundation Fellow, she continues to build PerfectDD around a simple belief: change your clothes, not your body.
