“You are not like any HR person I’ve ever met…” and there’s a good reason for that. I don’t believe Mondays should suck for people, and I’m not scared to say it.

Work is where people spend so much of their lives. I believe organizations have a responsibility to create environments where people can contribute meaningfully, be challenged, and still experience dignity and community.

My career started in the kitchen at Chick-fil-A (yes, I flipped chicken), where I learned that culture is built through everyday values and norms. More than fifteen years later, I’ve partnered with executive teams across Fortune 500 companies, foundations, and nonprofits to build the cultures they’ve promised their people.

Those experiences became the ethos of Pivot One-Eighty: how you lead people through change is just as consequential as the change itself.

As the daughter of a pastor and an ex-Marine, I hold two things in the same hand: a deep love for context and a deep respect for excellence. Together, they shape how I lead, build, and think about work: people deserve better experiences, and organizations deserve better outcomes. I believe we can and should design for both.
