The Paws

Thoughtfully made dog bandanas, manufactured in-house for retail and private label.

About the Business

The Paws is a pet accessory brand manufactured in-house in Bali, Indonesia. Made for dogs who are part of everyday living and the special occasions throughout the year. The Paws operates two sides of the business in equal measure: its own retail-ready product line, and private label production for other pet and lifestyle brands. Having built its own manufacturing facilities, The Paws serves both everyday pet owners and companies looking for a trusted, hands-on manufacturing partner. From fabric sourcing to final production, every step happens under one roof, allowing for fast turnaround, tight quality control, and flexibility other manufacturers can't match.

Libby Clark

Libby Clark is the founder of The Paws, a pet accessory brand manufactured in-house in Bali, Indonesia. After adopting her first rescue dog while living on the island, she became passionate about local dog rescue work and began selling bandanas to fund vet bills for rescues in need.

The Paws grew on weekends and evenings, a side hustle alongside Libby's full-time job. When Covid hit, Libby was living in Sri Lanka, working as General Manager for a group of surf retreats. As the island shut down to tourism, her job was put on hold, giving her the space to focus on The Paws full time.

With a lot of work and a bit of luck, The Paws' matching face masks and bandanas were picked up by Nordstrom, and the brand grew quickly from there. Over the past nine years, Libby has grown The Paws into a well-known pet brand carried by Chewy, Nordstrom, Petco, and Anthropologie.

The Paws now operates two sides of the business in equal measure: its own brand, and private label production for other companies, made possible by its own manufacturing facilities.

Libby lives in Bali with her husband and three daughters. She's a graduate of the University of Virginia and has spent the last 15 years living in New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia.
